Angelia returns for her 16th year with Tejas Volleyball. She is a seasoned volleyball coach with a vast amount of experience. She is CAP I, CAP II and Gold Medal Squared Certified. Prior to working with Tejas she coached multiple youth leagues. Angelia has successfully coached teams to high level finishes including earning National Bids in multiple age groups and winning the non-bid McChesney NTR Regional Championship several times. Angelia has over 18 years of coaching experience and over ten years of volleyball officiating experience.

Angelia believes that there is nothing that compares to the excitement of young athletes enjoying and competing at a higher level and she is never less than amazed when they truly get the “aha” moments. She says her coaching philosophy is simple: For someone to become truly successful at something, they must continue to enjoy doing it again and again. I believe that any successful program must promote a passion and competitive intensity but must also be safe, positive and fun. The program must delve to offer an enjoyable environment for improvement and understanding of the game through hard-work, persistence, respect and responsibility. She says she truly believes coming together is a beginning, keeping it together is a process and working together is success.
