MAURO GRASSO

Mauro has coached all over the world for the past 35 years and is considered one of the best volleyball minds in the world.  His coaching career has taken him from his homeland in Brazil where he coached many Olympians both in beach and indoor volleyball to Italy, Qatar, and Puerto Rico, to name only a few.  He played at the highest professional level in Brazil and has led many professional teams to championships in their respective leagues.  He has worked extensively with junior players on 4 different continents and has had success everywhere he has been.

He regularly video-conferences with National and Professional teams around the globe that wish to tap into his expertise and technical guidance.  Mauro has lead countless camps and clinics for both coaches and players to teach them and share his vast knowledge of the game.  Always the student, Mauro strives to communicate and collaborate with the greatest minds in volleyball and other sports and employs his vast network to this end.

Mauro is married to his wife Rejane.  Both Mauro and Rejane played volley for the Brazilian National Team.  Mauro has 3 kids - Marco, who most recently helped the Ohio State Buckeyes to an NCAA Mens D1 Championship, Carol, who played both beach and indoor volleyball for Cal State Bakersfield, and Gianluca who recently finished playing for the USC Trojans.
