Shelby Malherbe brings over 15 years of coaching experience and a deep-rooted connection to TEJAS Volleyball, where she developed as a player from 10s through 18s before earning an NCAA scholarship as a setter and competing at the collegiate level. Her background as both a high-level athlete and early USAV-certified referee gives her a well-rounded perspective on the game.

Shelby has a proven track record of developing athletes for the next level, with numerous players advancing to collegiate programs. Her teams consistently qualify for USAV National Championships and earn strong finishes at national qualifiers, reflecting a high standard of training and competitiveness. She is also Gold Medal Squared certified.

Known for building strong team culture, Shelby emphasizes accountability, confidence, and long-term development. Her teams show exceptional retention, with athletes returning year after year, reflecting the environment she creates.
